I’m a storyteller. I speak in front of groups of people and most of the time, I’m very comfortable with how nervous I get. The photo here is me as the keynote lunch speaker at Missoula Businesswomen’s Network. While walking my quirky Ruby-the-FreakDog on one of Missoula’s amazing hiking trails, I’m often formulating themes and practicing public speaking opportunities like the standing room only Tell Us Something event in December 2014, I offered Missoula my story on the theme “These Dreams.” That podcast is so authentic and real. I was such a wild bundle of nerves that night! I made some big mistakes and they spelled my name wrong, but I’m sharing it warts and all because I’m into being a little rough around the edges. Also, “good enough” is a wonderful form of perfection in progress and an easier way to move through life than holding on and hiding out until everything is actually perfect.
And I share it because that story has a fantastic title – “Missoula’s Dream Vortex and Other Good Ideas.”
& Writing
I’m a published writer who won a few awards along the way. But. That feels like a lifetime ago.
I started this site and my little pollywog of a blog to warm up for bigger things in my life. I’ve submitted my chapter to a collaborative book coming out in April titled Midlife Awakening. I am now proudly working on publishing my first memoir.
And I’ve written a few poems. Here’s one for you!
